Colores de Carol: Bold Collection

For today’s post, I have a rainbow of polish perfection to share with y’all. This is the Colores de Carol Bold Collection, and it definitely lives up to its name. Let’s jump in for a closer look!

Bioluminescence is an “ultramarine blue with blue reflective glitters”. This has a fab formula. It was easy to apply, and I liked the opacity on my nails in 2-3 coats.

I bet you will not be at all surprised to hear me say (or type?) that this is my favorite from the entire collection. Blue is my favorite color of life. And this blue is beyond spectacular. I love how bright it is, and the reflective glitters really bump up the liveliness of this polish to the next level of fantastic.

Disco Ball is a “clear base with silver and gold reflective glitter”. This polish, like all the polishes in this collection, has a nice formula. I didn’t have any issues with application. You are seeing it in my photo at either 2 or 3 coats.

As you can see from my swatch photo, I feel like this polish falls into topper territory. I can’t imagine it will ever be opaque on its own. It is packed with glitters, but they are much too small to cover up the whole nail plate. I’m looking forward to wearing this as a topper, because the silvers and golds in here are super sparkly and reflective.

Fireflies is a “yellow with gold reflective glitter”. This has another nice formula. You are seeing it at 3-4 coats in my swatch photo. As you can see, there is some VNL with this polish. I feel this is to be expected, as this is a yellow.

So … y’all! Is it any surprise that I adore this polish? Because it’s a yellow! And it’s also gold. And it’s so sparkly and pretty. This is Summer perfection, in my opinion.

Foxfire is a “green with green reflective glitter”. This is another lovely formula. I had no issues with application. This is a more opaque color, overall, so I liked the formula in 2-3 coats.

This green! It is so lush and just … lovely. I don’t know how else to describe it. That’s the word that immediately pops into my head when I look at it. I feel this is a perfect green color tone. It is not too yellow and not too blue. It is not too dark and also not too light. I really enjoy how the reflective glitters are the same color as the base color.

Glow Stick is an “orange with orange reflective glitter”. This is another fabulous formula. I had no issues with application, and I liked this one in 2-3 coats on my nails.

This orange!! Wowza!! I like a bright, bold orange polish, and I think orange is a hard color to find. Or, maybe it’s that it’s hard for me to find oranges that don’t look garish against my ghostly pale skin tone. This orange is delicious. It is a little on the darker side, but it’s still bright. It has a lot of tangy tartness in the color tone. When I look at this one, I immediately think: “What a juicy orange!”

Glowing Forest is a “teal with green reflective glitter”. This polish is another great formula: no issues with application, and I liked the opacity in 2-3 coats on my nails.

This is yet another gorgeously lush color. I don’t think of this as a teal. It reads forest green to my eye, but I can definitely see the mix of blue and green in this polish. I think the green reflective glitters bump up the greens just a tad with this one. It is a beauty, for sure!

LED Party is a “black with black reflective glitter”. This has a lovely formula. I had no issues with application, and I liked the opacity in 2-3 coats.

This black is so, so, sooooo “black”. It is deep and rich and just perfect in every way. I love how the glitters catch and reflect the light. It makes this polish look so mysterious as light twinkles across each nail.

Luminosa is a “grape purple with purple reflective glitter”. This is another nice formula in this collection. I believe I used 2 coats in my swatch photo, and I can see a couple of low spots. I think I would wear this polish in 3 coats in real life.

I like how very “grape” this polish is. It has a little bit of red or pink in the undertone. I like that it is rich and deep, and the reflective glitters just bump everything up a notch. Super pretty!!

Splendor is a “raspberry red with red reflective glitter”. Guess what? This is another great formula. I liked this polish on my nails in 2-3 coats.

This red captured my heart right away. Just … right away. It is so bright and vibrant. It is so deep and luscious. I have been gravitating more and more toward the reds and pinks in the last few months, and this one is definitely a winner for me!

Supernova is a “deep violet with purple reflective glitter”. This has a great formula. I liked it in 2-3 coats on my nails.

Words fail me for this color. That is not a good thing for a blogger, y’all! I love the depth of this base color. It has a richness that is hard to describe and, I think, hard to see in photos. In person, this polish is beyond stunning. I love the blue undertones in this one.

THE WRAP-UP:

That’s a “wrap” for this gorgeously rainbow-colored collection. What do y’all think about it? Did you purchase anything from this collection? If so, what did you think of it? Or do you have a favorite from this collection? I think this entire collection is so cheerful, fun, and just perfect for Spring or Summer. But it’s also perfect for any time of the year when you just need a little bit of “rainbow” in your heart!

    1. You are welcome! I know flash shows off the “reflective” part of the polish the best, but I tend to stick to natural light even for these. For me, I want the color also to be nice. The reflection can be off the charts, but, if the color isn’t fun to wear, then it wouldn’t be fore me. (If that makes sense … ??) Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my blog!
