Zoya Fall 2023: Enamored

Hey, y’all! It has been a hot minute and a half since we hung out here in the nail blog. I think I mentioned in a previous post that my oldest dog suddenly left me to cross the Rainbow Bridge. This was about a month ago, and I admit I am still not myself. It was such a sudden parting, and I was not able to be there with her. There is most definitely a “her” shaped hole in our house and in my heart. I’m still struggling with spending time in my upstairs office space because it was her favorite place in the entire house. And, of course, work remains painfully busy. We are blazing into the fourth quarter at work, which is always a bit like riding a tornado. Right on the heels of all of this, my younger dog had to go into the vet for a “lump” check and all-around check-up. Unbeknownst to me, he had broken a tooth. So he had to go in this past week to have that removed, along with 5 of his more troubling lumps and bumps. We had to send two of them off for further testing, as they seemed a little concerning. So please keep a good thought in your head for my boy. I don’t think my heart can take losing my other dog so very soon after my sweet Fae left us.

Anyhow … let’s talk about some pretty nail polish and get into a much better mood. I am (as always) running behind on getting posts written and … well … posted. So, I am still working my way through Fall offerings. For today’s post, I have the Zoya Enamored Collection. I know we are quickly sliding into the dark, cold days of Winter and the Winter holidays, but the nice thing about Zoya is that these beauties will still be available on their site. That’s just one of the things that has quickly made Zoya my favorite mainstream brand. Enamored is a pretty large collection. It has 12 polishes, and I also have an extra to share. So, let’s jump right in and take a look at these little lovelies!

Brianna is a “sophisticated toasted pink cream”. This polish has a lovely formula. I found it easy to apply, and I liked the opacity in 1-2 coats. I used 2 in my swatch photo, and that is likely how I would wear it. But I think you could get this one “done in 1” if you needed or wanted to.

This is a great way to start out the collection. It is pretty and oh-so elegant. I love how it has the rosy tones I adore so much, but it has a nice amount of purple mixed into it. And there is just a hint of warmth to give us that “toasted” part of the description. This is beautifully neutral. It’s not the kind of polish I would find myself wearing often, but it is the kind of polish I greatly enjoy whenever I do wear it. It’s also great for water marbling and as a base for nail art. This is a wonderful color for Fall, but I could see this being lovely in a Spring manicure, too.

Brynlee is an “intense mulberry cream with a hint of magenta undertone”. I thought this polish had a lovely formula. I found it easy to apply, and I liked the opacity in 1-2 coats. Again, I used 2 coats for my photo and would likely wear it that way. But you could definitely get this beauty opaque in 1.

Wowza!! “Intense” is definitely the word for this beauty! This is so, so, soooo deep, dark, and lusciously rich. It is gorgeous in every way. I was surprised that this polish dried matte. But it looks amazing with a glossy topcoat. (It’s beautiful as a matte finish, too. But y’all know Mama loves all the shiny things!)

Eleanor is a “dark cinnamon mahogany crushed velvet finish”. This polish was also lovely and easy to apply. I liked the opacity in 1-2 coats. Y’all already know I used 2 in my swatch photo.

So the description for this polish (which came from the Zoya website) is kind of a mixed-up jumble of things. I do think this polish is velvety in finish, but I don’t particularly see either cinnamon or mahogany in here. It is beautifully deep and dark. I do see some blackened brown tones, but what really surprised me is that I was able to see purples running throughout this polish. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it when I saw it in the bottle, but I really enjoyed this on my nails.

Frenchy is a “warm beige pink cream”. Considering that these types of colors are usually difficult to apply evenly, I thought this one had a nice formula. I did not have many issues with application. There were some low spots on my first coat, and a very few on my second coat. But these all evened out for me with that third coat. And I’m sure you can guess that I’m calling this a 2-3 coater.

Oh. My. Goodness. This polish was unexpectedly lovely to me. This is not the type of color I normally like, but I found myself quite enchanted by this pretty polish when I swatched through this collection. I think it’s the combination of just a touch of pink with the warm undertones. To me, it has a really “cozy” feeling that is perfect for Fall and into Winter. But I could see this being perfect for a Spring manicure or pedicure, too.

Jean is a “rich indigo periwinkle with a shimmering holographic finish”. I thought this polish had a nice formula, although it applied slightly more sheer than I expected it to from seeing it in the bottle. I liked the opacity in 2-3 coats. I’m pretty sure I used 3 in my swatch photo, but I think I would be okay with it in 2 coats for everyday wear.

Y’all! I can’t even with this polish. Just look at it. I mean … just look at it! It’s such a perfect blue base color that is full of jelly goodness. And the holographics are so tiny and perfect as they float through every layer of manicure. I particularly like the gentle pastels of the pinks and the lighter, brighter blues as the holographic glitters catch the light.

Lennon is a “deep pacific teal with shimmering holographic finish”. I thought this polish had a nice formula. I found it easy to apply and build to opacity, and I liked it on my nails in 2 easy coats.

This polish is so lovely. I like how it is bright but also deep. It’s a very pretty jewel tone, which is perfect for Fall into Winter (and the holidays). I feel like my bottle of this polish doesn’t have as many holographic glitters in it as Jean did, but it is still lovely. I enjoy the pastel pinks and purples in here, as well as the more true blue tones I can see floating through every layer of this manicure. I don’t really think of this one as a “teal”, though. To me, it is more of a deep turquoise. But it has a very “ocean” feel to it.

Murphy is an “ultra-dark army green crushed velvet finish”. I thought this polish had a great formula. I found it easy to apply, and I liked the opacity in 1-2 coats.

This green makes my little heart oh-so-happy. It’s the perfect olive green tone, but you can see so many little golden and coppery pops of color from the delicate shimmers running throughout. This is one of those colors that just screams, “HEY, Y’ALL! IT’S FALL!!” With that said, I think this will also be perfect for Winter, as well as manicures for the upcoming Winter holidays. I can picture this as a base for some festive nail art.

Pamela is a “darkened imperial purple cream”. This is another nice formula from this collection. I found it easy to apply, and I liked the opacity in 1-2 coats.

Y’all!! This purple is … just … I can’t even. Words escape me on this one, which is a pretty typical thing for me with a super pretty polish but a terrible thing for a gal who wants to write a blog post. I do think “imperial” is a perfect descriptor for this one. It is dark but also bright and lush. It’s very regal, and a pretty darn perfect purple tone. I was surprised that this polish dried to a matte finish, but it looks amazing with a glossy topcoat.

Precious is just … well … “precious”. This is an “orchid mauve purple infused with a hint of micro rose gold flakes”. I liked the formula on this polish. I found it easy to apply, and I liked the opacity in 2-3 coats.

Y’all!! I was immediately smitten with this little pretty. It has the perfect balance of rosy-toned goodness mixed with a dusty purple. But, for me, the whole story is contained in the delicate shimmer and the rose gold flakes. I feel like these scatter perfectly across each nail. And they catch the light in such a lovely way. I like how some of them show more of a coppery-pink tone and others show a deeper mauve-toned pink because of how the layers of polish look on top of them. It’s delicate and just really, really lovely.

Twinklette is a “glamorous rose gold holographic infused with micro pink shimmer”. This has a nice formula. It is sheer because the base for this polish is either clear or just the very barest blush of color. I felt like this one can be decently opaque on its own, but it needs at least 3 coats.

The glitters on this polish are just … alive! The light seems to dance right across them, and I love how I can see pastel pinks, soft turquoise greens, and even brighter pinks. There is something delicate, fun, and exceptionally lively about this polish. I can see this making a great manicure around the Winter holidays, but also a nice polish to wear for a pop of delicate color in the depths of winter.

Venus is a “vibrant and sparkling rose red with a shimmering holographic finish”. This polish has a nice formula. I found it easy to apply, and I liked the opacity in 1-2 coats.

BAM! Just … BAM!! This polish just reaches out and grabs you by the eyeballs and refuses to let go. And I mean that in all the best of ways. It is vibrant and bright. And it feels so sparkly and fun for Fall into Winter. I’m looking forward to enjoying this beautiful polish in a full manicure, and maybe even in some nail art.

Vera is an “enticing bright mulberry cream”. This polish is another nice formula. I liked the opacity for this polish in 2 easy coats.

Just look at how bright and pretty this polish is! It is still dusty, which feels just right for Fall. But it has a brightness to it that is a ton of fun. This is one of those polishes that I can see myself wearing all year long.

AND A LITTLE “EXTRA”:

This is Wren, which was Zoya’s Color of the Month for August 2023. This is a “royal purple infused with blue, pink, and silver micro shimmer”. I thought this polish had a nice formula. It was easy to apply, and I liked the opacity in 1-2 coats.

Y’all … this polish won my heart immediately. This is a beautifully wearable purple tone for me, and it has so many blues mixed into it. I feel like I can see blues in the undertone, as well as in the micro shimmers. The pinks are wonderfully delicate and fun. I had to wear this right away when I received it, and it was glorious!

THE WRAP-UP:

That’s a “wrap” for Zoya’s Fall 2023 collection. I feel like, even with all my delays and life struggles, I am getting this into the blog just in the nick of time. After all, we are still officially in “Fall”, even though Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this collection. There were so many polishes in here that I feel like I could count as favorites. Of course, I’m sure y’all are not surprised to hear me say that Jean was my immediate favorite from the collection. But Lennon, Precious, and Twinklette also captured a place in my heart.

What about all of you? Did you get anything from the Enamored Collection? If so, what did you think of it? I would love to hear all about it!

    1. Hi! Thanks so much for your kind words and thoughts. I appreciate it, and very much appreciate you taking the time to stop in and look at posts in here. Things are slowly getting to a new “normal” without my beloved Fae. Thankfully, we had good news on Shiner (my younger dog). All his lumps were benign, and he has pretty much recovered from the surgery to remove them. It was a long, 3-week haul. I’m still running so, so behind on posts in here due to Life continuing to toss water balloons my way, as well as work being super busy. But I’m hoping to get more posts up in the coming weeks! Thanks again for stopping by to check out the blog, and for your kind words. 🙂
