Cupcake Polish: Black Friday Haul

Hey, y’all!! So … yeah. I am bopping into the blog with a Black Friday haul. I realize we are now nearly halfway through January, and Black Friday 2022 is most definitely in the rear view mirror. But y’all know my continuing mantra: Life is Busy … Work is Busy … Life is Busy … Work is Busy … and so on. Because of this, I ran way behind on swatching and editing photos, and this led to this later-than-usual haul post.

I took advantage of the Cupcake Polish Black Friday sale to grab a mixture of polishes. There are some shades in here that I have wanted to grab up for a while. And there are some mystery shades in here, too. Overall, it was a fun haul for me!

Berry Good Looking is a “purple linear holographic”. This has a nice formula, and I liked the opacity in 1-2 coats.

This is a pretty astounding purple. I’m not sure what else there is to say about this one. I think this is one of those Cupcake Polish shades that is iconic and extremely well-known in the nail polish community. I believe this used to be more of a reddish-pink in its original incarnation, but I can’t be mad about this lovely purple. It is so juicy and amazing!

Daphne is a “pale sky blue crelly base loaded with pink to blue to gold shifting shimmer”. This was originally part of the September 2022 Hella Handmade Creations sale.

I got this blue as part of a mystery polish purchase, so I did not expect to find it when I opened my package. This one is so, so perfect for me, though! It’s almost like this was created just for me. I love how light and gorgeous the base color is. The pink shimmers are delicate and so, so pretty.

Jingle Jangle is a “black jelly base loaded with green to gold to red iridescent flakes, red metallic flakes, and green metallic flakes”. This was originally part of the November 2022 PPU sale.

I was so, so happy to get this in my mystery bag! I was not able to shop the November PPU sale because work was too busy. I was so bogged down at that time that I completely forgot to check out the sale until it had already ended. I was so, so bummed because the November sale is usually one of my favorites. This polish is like the holidays in a bottle! I feel like someone took my Christmas tree and mixed it all up into little bits and put it in this bottle. Love it!!

Leaf Me Alone is a “grass green linear holographic”. This has a lovely formula. I had no issues with application, and I liked the opacity in 1-2 coats.

I have such a love for tangy, juicy, “Spring” types of greens. And this one ticks all those boxes for me. I love how bright and vibrant it is. This is going to be beautiful on its own, and also as a base for nail art.

Some Berry to Love is a “berry red linear holographic”. This has a nice formula. I loved the opacity in 2 easy coats.

This polish is so fabulously fabulous. I freaking LOVE it. It is so bright and unapologetic. I love how it is both red and pink at the same time. And, of course, the linear holographic is off the charts.

Water You Doing? is an “aqua blue linear holographic”. This polish has a nice formula, and I liked the opacity in 2-3 easy coats.

This is a GORGEOUS color! I caught myself whispering “wow” under my breath as I swatched this one. It is the perfect “water” sort of blue. I love how it has just a touch of green to it, and the linear holographic is stunning.

We’re All Mad Here is a “magenta pink nail polish filled with blue to pink aurora shimmer”. This polish was part of the October 2022 PPU sale.

I already had this one in my stash, as I purchased a bottle during the October PPU sale, when it was offered. With that said, I was pretty happy to get this as part of my mystery bag purchase. I freaking LOVE this pink. I’ve already worn it a couple of times. I love the pink color tone, and I adore the blue shimmer. It all works together so beautifully.

THE WRAP-UP:

I’m really happy I finally got to share my Cupcake Polish Black Friday haul. It was a long time in the making, but I enjoyed putting this post together. I always love looking at pretty polishes, and I love being able to get some discontinued limited polishes in mystery bags. It makes the whole order even more fun!

What about all of you? Do you have any of the polishes in this post? If so, what do you think about them? Do you have the older (more pink) version if Berry Good Looking? I would love to hear all about it!

    1. Thanks! I’m super happy with everything I purchased and can’t wait to wear them! (Although it will probably take a while for me to wear them. I have a bad habit of buying new things too quickly. Ha, ha!)
