Friday Favorites: Zoya Blues

Here I am with my Friday Favorites on a Saturday (which will probably show up as posting on Sunday). As I already mentioned in a previous post, my work was busy this week. And my Friday got away from me. Once I was done with work for the day yesterday, I was too tired to think about blogging. I’m super happy my work came back, and I’m super happy I had a busy, busy week.  But it is going to take me a while to get back into the routine of it all. I’m still tired today! I sound like the biggest whiner, don’t I?

So let’s talk about some nail polish, instead! For today’s post, I have my favorite Zoya blues to share. Zoya is a great brand. I was an OPI fangirl from way back in the day. I never knew about Zoya back in my teen years or my twenties, when I was buying polish regularly. Once I started buying from this brand, it quickly became a favorite for me. And my Zoya collection grew by leaps and bounds. This brand releases some beautiful polishes. And, in particular, Zoya has some amazingly beautiful blues. I have 14 to share today. I know that’s a lot of polish happiness for one post, but I couldn’t narrow my list of favorites down any more than that.

zoya-aire-sm

Aire was part of the Spring 2019 Innocence Collection.

This blue is just … Everything. It makes me want to sigh with happiness just looking at the picture of it. I love how creamy and rich it looks on the nail. It is such a pretty and different shade of blue. I have lots of blues in my stash. It’s my favorite color, and I’ve pretty much never met a blue I didn’t love. But this shade of blue is fairly unique even in my stash. I love how it has purple in the undertone, but I feel like there is some gray or white in there, too, giving it a lighter but dustier look.

zoya-dory2-sm

Dory was part of the Summer 2016 Sunsets Collection.

This blue is bright and cheerful. It makes me happy in a manicure — like, I just love seeing it on my nails. This one is also great in a pedicure. There is something fun and happy about seeing it on my toes during sandal season!

zoya-dream2-sm

Dream was part of the Holiday 2013 Zenith Collection.

This is such a classic from Zoya’s line. I think almost everyone (well, everyone who is a total polish junkie like me!) either owns this polish or at least knows about it. It is such a beautiful, deep, and dark shade of blue. And the scattered holographic is magical.

zoya-eleni-sm

Eleni was part of the Summer 2019 Barefoot Collection.

This polish is like wearing a cloud on my nails. It’s such a light, bright color — like a pastel but not quite a pastel. It’s a fairly unusual tone of blue, too. This is another blue that is unique in my stash.

zoya-emerson-sm

Emerson was part of the Spring 2020 Calm Collection.

This polish totally makes me think “calm”. It is serene and dreamy and like a breath of fresh air on my nails. This is a shade of blue I particularly love. I’ve had my bedroom painted in a similar shade in the past.

zoya-jen-sm

Jen was part of the Holiday 2019 Twinkling Collection.

I didn’t buy the Twinkling Collection when it first came out. And I kind of wish I had. But I know this one would have been a favorite for me from the entire collection. This is a deep blue that is full of jewel tones. I love the moodiness of it on my nails. So pretty!

zoya-juvia-sm

Juvia was part of the Summer 2016 Ultra Brite Neons Collection.

I purchased this polish on a total whim during one of Zoya’s fantastic sales. This brand does a lot of fabulous sales throughout the year. Once I saw this polish in person and actually on my nails, I was even more thrilled with my impulse buy. This polish is delicious. It is bright, although I’m not sure it qualifies as “neon” bright. BUT — I do not care a bit. I love how juicy and jelly this looks on my nails. I love the brightness of the color. And I even love seeing that little hint of VNL.

zoya-ling2-sm

Ling was part of the Summer 2014 Tickled Collection.

Clearly, I have a “type” when it comes to these lovely, lovely blues. Well … perhaps not. I mean, I pretty much love any blue. But it really struck me that this polish and Juvia are similar in color tone. This is a great tone of blue. It’s bright but also kind of “medium”. It’s great in a manicure or a pedicure. I like how this color looks in nail art, and it’s a color that is great for any time of the year.

zoya-mirajane-sm

Mira Jane was part of the Summer 2016 Ultra Brite Neons Collection.

This is suuuuuuuuch an amazing blue. It is dark, deep and packs a huge visual punch on the nails. I love how it looks all jelly and squishy in a finished manicure. And I sound like a broken record here but … This makes a great pedicure, too!

zoya-rayne2-sm

Rayne was part of the Spring 2015 Delight Collection.

This polish is an absolute delight on the nails, so the collection name is perfect for it. I love how light and bright the blue is in this polish. But it has so much shimmer, which catches and reflects the light beautifully. It looks super pretty and delicate on the nail.

zoya-remy2-sm

Remy was part of the Fall 2014 Ignite Collection.

I can’t even with this one. It is too, too good. I love the depth of color in the base. It is blackened and kind of moody. But there is all that gold fleck or shimmer, which catches the light at every angle. I like how the light bouncing around gives my finished manicure extra depth and interest.

zoya-river-sm

River was part of the Summer 2017 Wanderlust Collection.

This is yet another perfect and shimmery blue. It is beautifully bright, and I loooove the shimmer. There is a nice flash of purple around the edges of this polish. And it is so, so pretty. I was beyond obsessed with this polish when I first received it. And, in looking at this swatch photo, I am reminded that I am still obsessed!!

zoya-song2-sm

Song was part of the Fall 2012 Diva Collection.

I feel like this polish is a diva. Not in terms of being difficult to work with or anything like that, but in terms of sheer fabulousness. Because this polish is FABULOUS!! It is mesmerizing on the nail, with the shimmers and subtle shadows at every angle. I really love this one.

zoya-walker-sm

Walker was part of the Summer 2019 Barefoot Collection.

This pretty is bold and bright and beautiful. This is another tone of blue that I find pretty much perfect in every way. It looks great at any time of the year. I love it in gradients and other types of nail art. And, of course, I love it in pedicures. (But you knew I was going to say that, right? Right!)

zoya-yummy2-sm

Yummy was part of the Summer 2007 Candy Collection.

Remember what I was saying earlier in the post about having a “type”? Um … yep! I think this one helps to prove that point. It is another bright, almost-pastel blue. I love the hint of dustiness in here. This one is like wearing a blue Spring sky on my nails. Love it!

THE WRAP-UP:

Whew! That was a LOT of blues, y’all. I thought about splitting these into two posts, but I decided to throw caution to the wind and do them all together. Because a gal can’t have enough blue. Am I right? Ha!

What about you guys? Do you have any favorite Zoya blues? I would love to hear all about them!

    1. Thanks! I feel like Zoya has such nice blues, overall. OPI does nice blues, too, but I feel like that brand releases tons of reds and pinks without as many blues. But then again, I could be biased because blue is my favorite color. I wish you were able to get Zoya more easily. It’s a great brand.
