Y’all!! I am coming off of a long weekend, which was glorious. My daughter had Monday off from school for President’s Day, and Tuesday was a teacher planning day or something like that. Since we had the time away from school, we decided to fit in a couple of college visits. We had to fly through them, and it felt like cramming a lot into a short time. I’m exhausted from all the driving and all the hiking around campuses. But it was also fun.
Needless to say, it feels like a perfect time to wind down a little bit and share some pretty polish. (Of course, I think any time is a perfect time for that!) I have the Glam Polish Firefly Trio to share in this post, as well as a couple of extras I had been eyeing for a while and tossed into my order.
THE FIREFLY TRIO:
Big Damn Heroes, Sir is an olive green jelly base with Aurora shimmer and holo glitter. This polish has a lovely formula. I liked the opacity in 2-3 coats. I used 3 for my swatch photo, but I could see myself wearing this in real life at 2.
Oh, my stars and garters!! This polish is magnificent. No, it is beyond magnificent. I love, love, love this tone of green. It is swampy and murky and all kinds of perfect. And look at that shimmer! It is spectacular. It lights up the polish with the prettiest glow.
Yes Sir, Captain Tight Pants is a brown-toned red or rose base with Aurora shimmer and holo glitter. This polish has a great formula. It was opaque for me in 2 easy coats.
Ugh. Be still, my heart! Just look at how delicious this polish is. Those brown undertones are kinda the star of the show in my eyes. I feel like it takes the color to a whole new level. The base color is rich, with a lot of depth, and I feel like I can even see some purple tones sneaking in around the edges. Holographic is always pretty, and I always love it. But, this polish would be magical with just the shimmer. It is super pretty and striking against the deep, slightly murky rose tones.
You Can’t Take the Sky From Me is a deep plum-red jelly base with Aurora shimmer and holo glitter. This polish has a great formula. It applies and builds to full opacity like a dream. I loved it at 2 easy coats.
This is deliciously delicious! I looooove the stuffing out of the bold, deep color. The holographic glitters pop the prettiest rainbows against the base color, and the shimmer brings the whole show to life. I wasn’t prepared for how much I would love this one. And then, I manicured with it. I was sold all the way. It looked so amazing to me. I loved it against my skin tone. And I had such fun wearing this one. I kind of want to wear it again already!
Baby It’s Cold Outside was part of the Baby It’s Cold Outside Trio. It is a rose or mauve base with Aurora shimmer and holo glitter. This polish has a great formula. It applies easily and builds well. I liked the opacity in 2 coats. I think you might be able to get away with 1 if you go in with a thicker application.
I have so much love for this. So. Much. LOVE. As you guys know, I’m a total sucker for those “grandma” rosy colors. I love them and can’t get enough. The shimmers and holo put this one way over the top for me. This polish is cozy and warm on the nail. It gives me happy and warm-fuzzy vibes in the midst of our Midwest Winter. This one is beautifully neutral, but it still has a little pizazz.
Shadows of Endor was part of The Force Collection. It is a dark brown jelly base with Aurora shimmer and holo glitter. This polish has a great formula. It is easy to apply and build, and I liked the opacity in 2 coats.
Okay. So this is probably my favorite polish out of this entire Glam order. I wanted this polish since the first moment I saw swatch pictures. I couldn’t jump on it right away because it wasn’t in my budget at that moment. Luckily, I was still able to get it. I can’t believe my good fortune!! I adore this one. It is deep and beautiful. The shimmers sparkle mysteriously throughout every layer of the manicure. I especially love the mix of browns and golds.
All right, all right, all right!! I love me some Glam Polish, y’all. I’m super happy I was able to add these to my ever-growing stash. I don’t buy nearly as much from this brand as I would like, mostly because I have other indie loves that crawl into my wallet and dig the money right out of there. (I’m looking at you, Quixotic Polish and Colores de Carol! Ha!!) But I am always happy when I can add to my Glam Polish stash. Hopefully, I can buy a few more this year to see this part of my collection grow a little bit.
