You guys!! This month has been a whirlwind of activity for me. There have been errands and housework, as per usual. But there have also been tons of school activities and busy weekends. Plus, I decided to attempt NaNoWriMo this year. If you’re not familiar with that particular “torture” (and I say that with love — ha, ha!), NaNo is a writing challenge where you try to write 50,000 words in 30 days. It is quite the challenge, and it has meant most of my spare time is spent writing. This is not a bad thing. But it hasn’t left a lot of extra blogging time.
So … that leads me to today’s post. I realized earlier today that it has been some time since I posted a manicure wrap-up. Total fail on my part! But, that means I get to talk about three weeks’ worth of manicures today. Woo Hoo!! Go me! (See what I did there? Making lemonade out of lemons. Rawr.)
November 3 – November 10:
I started out this week (and the month of November … wha-aaat?!?) with Nine Zero Lacquer, B+. This is a polish I have looked at and debated over in the past. I could never decide if I would love it or not, so I never bought it. Until this year. This year, the swatch photos finally won me over, and I decided I would give it a try. I’m so happy I did! I loved wearing this. It is a pretty, pretty polish that has so much depth and dimension.
My next (and last) manicure for this week was Colores de Carol, Wicked Blood. We traveled during this particular week, and Wicked Blood was my travel polish for the trip. It wore like iron. I came home after almost a week away with no chips and very little tip wear. This polish is LOVE. Seriously. I enjoyed it in every type of lighting. I never got tired of it, and that is saying a lot for me!
November 11 to November 15:
I started out this week with Colores de Carol, Clarice. I only picked up a couple of polishes from the Halloween 2019 Collection. But I could not resist this orange beauty. I love her!! This polish is Halloween in a bottle. It is juicy and has a fabulous visual punch on the nails. I got a lot of compliments on this one!
My next manicure for the week was with Colores de Carol, Hibernation Station. We hit our first steady bout of cold weather during this week, and it felt like the perfect time for a thermal polish. Of course, I immediately thought of this one. I don’t wear it as often as I should, but I love it. The color shift is so amazing in here. I love this one in its dark/cold state, too. It is luscious!
I liked Hibernation Station so much that I didn’t want to take it off. I decided to combine Winter and Fall with some stamping. I used What’s Up Nails, plate B021 and China Glaze, Magical for the stamping.
I freaking LOVED this manicure. I was beyond happy with how Magical looked against the darker cold state of the polish. But seeing it against the lighter green / warm state was a nice surprise. It was fun and fantastic both ways.
November 16 to November 22:
My first manicure for this particular week was with Colores de Carol, Ceres. I topped it with Quixotic Polish, Snake Eyes. I am pretty m much in love with this flakey topper. Like the other flakey toppers from Quixotic, this one looks pretty darn amazing over any color. I mean … I haven’t tried it over EVERY color. Yet. But it has looked pretty darn amazing over every color I’ve tried so far.
Just look at this gorgeousness!! Those greens! Those pinks!! My heart could not be happier.
My last manicure for this particular week was with Colores de Carol, Annabelle. I actually stamped over this polish, but I haven’t yet resized those pictures. In the meantime, I thought I would post up a swatch photo as a placeholder, of sorts. This is such a pretty polish! I love the gray base and those copper flakes make me such a happy, happy polish addict.
Okay, guys! That’s three whole weeks of manicures. Can you believe it? I can’t believe I didn’t have more to share. This is a sign I have been extra busy. I haven’t had time to sit and do my nails regularly.
Hopefully you have all had great manicure weeks, too! Thanksgiving is fast approaching, which means posts in here will continue to be somewhat sparse. But hopefully that will change once the holidays are done.
