My Week in Nails

You guys!! It’s Friday!! I woke up this morning in a total funk and with a horrible headache that was a mixture of sinus and tension/stress. I was not in a happy mood. But then, I remembered it was Friday. Glory Hallelujah!! Friday has come once again to save me from my doldrums. Actually, I’m being a little dramatic and giving Friday a bit too much credit. I am still stuck in packing and cleaning hell. I know it will end soon, but I still can’t see the light at the end of that particular tunnel. So my doldrums shall return. Even so, it’s nice to know the week is done. Sometimes, you have to grab onto the small things to find some happiness and hope.

And speaking of “small things” … let’s look at some fabulous nail polish! Because I had a pretty fantastic week ‘o’ nails. I know, I know. I say this every week. But it’s always true!

I started out my week with LePolish, Pop! My family and I went out this past Saturday with our dearest friends to celebrate my birthday. And I wanted to wear something fun and festive. I’ve wanted to rewear this polish for a while, and it seemed to fit the bill perfectly for our evening out. I love this one. It is dainty and pretty on the nail. It feels very feminine to me, and I love the pops of bright pink against the silver base.

My next manicure was with Moon Shine Mani, Pools of Aggonar. This was my first time wearing this one in a full manicure. And I freaking LOVED it! I was surprised by just how much I liked this one. This green is so bright, bold, and gorgeous. I love how it is kind of an acid green, but it manages to remain rich and lush looking on the nail. And those gold flakes are the perfect bit of extra. I really enjoyed having this one on my nails.

My next manicure was with Quixotic Polish, Admiral. These were my birthday nails!! I wanted something special and something that makes me smile constantly on my nails for my actual birthday. And this polish jumped into my head right away. I love, love, love, LOVE it! It is a beautiful shade of blue. I love how it is almost a navy, and I love the jelly squishiness on the nail. The OG UP pigment in here is fabulous. It is shifty and beautiful in every light. And I loooooove the flakes! This was definitely my favorite from the OG UP Trio from Quixotic. I already have a pretty decent wear line in my bottle, which makes me a little sad.

And this is my manicure for today! This is Moon Shine Mani, Hufflepuff Just and Loyal. My nails are actually a bit longer than this at the moment, but I am using my original swatch photo in here to save space on the blog. This polish is So. Much. FUN! I love how bright and almost brassy it is. I love the golden yellow tones in here. And all those glitters are fantastic. I’m a Hufflepuff, so I love it in that respect, too!

THE WRAP-UP:

See? What did I tell you? A pretty great week in nails. I had a lot of fun with my nail polish this week. And, in the end, isn’t that what it’s all about? Fun, fun, fun!! Few things can bring such easy and immediate joy, especially in the midst of all the things I need to get done but will not have time to do. I’ve gotta learn to Let It Go — ha, ha!

What about you guys? What were you wearing this week? Any favorites? I would love to hear all about them.

I am going to be out of pocket for most of next week. We are heading to our new state to tour our new town and look at houses. I’m excited about it, but it means I will probably not be posting much over the next week. I’ve been so caught up in cleaning and trying to get ready for the movers that I haven’t planned out any posts for while I am gone. But I shall return at the end of next week!
