Quixotic Polish: Fall Into Autumn Trio

I have a wonderfully Fall trio from Quixotic Polish today. And I have to say I’m hella excited about it. You guys already knew that, right? I know. I’m so predictable.

As the title suggests, this is the Fall Into Autumn Trio. It was available for a limited pre-order earlier this month. I just checked the website, and these polishes are listed as available in the store. I don’t know if the quantities are limited, or if they will be in the shop for a normal amount of time, or what. But they are there right now. I’m just gonna go with that!

I am pulling polish descriptions right off of the Quixotic Polish website.

Chartreuse Swizzle is “an ultra bright neon chartreuse with glowing linear holographic effect and subtle red shimmer to give a lit from within feel”. It has a perfect formula that is smooth and easy to apply. It is a light color, and it can look a little bit sheer going onto the nail. Even so, I was happy with opacity at 2 coats. I ended up using 3 coats, overall, because I liked how the third coat deepened the color. So I’m calling this one a 2-3 coater, depending on your personal preference.

I am LIVING for this polish. Absolutely living for it. The moment I saw teaser pictures of this on the Quixotic FaceBook group, I was in lovey-lust. I wanted the entire trio, but this was the one I NEEDED. If I got nothing else, I knew this little pretty was coming to live with me.

It does not disappoint in person. At all. It is bright and tangy and just gorgeous. The shimmer shows beautiful flashes of gold and coppery orange, which are an amazing contrast to the tangy green of the base. I love this one. It is easily my favorite from the trio.

How Merlot Can You Go? is “a creamy merlot base absolutely jam packed with bronze/gold/green flakes and a sweet dash of holographic sparkles”. This polish has a great formula. It is practically a 1-coater, although I liked it most at 2 coats. I had no trouble at all with application. It was easy-breezy.

This polish is another “Fall in a bottle” kind of color. It is rich and gorgeous on the nail. I love the deep and sexy base color. And I love, love, LOVE the flashes of bronze and gold that twinkle out at me from the flakes. Every so often, I can see brighter purples, too. It is rich and oh-so yummy. This polish really does remind me of a yummy red wine.

Keep Your Eye on the Fall is “a sweet burnt orange multichrome that shifts between red, orange, gold and green and is packed with linear holo, holographic micro flakes, and holo sparks”. This polish has a fabulous formula that is opaque in 1-2 coats. Really, I was happy with opacity at 1 coat. But you guys know I always do 2.

I think you guys already know I am always on board for a burnt orange polish. Someone says to me, “Hey, look. It’s a burnt orange polish.” And I’m all, “Heck yeah! Sign me up!!”

This polish is so pretty. So, so, so, sooooooo pretty. It makes me want to ugly cry. That’s how pretty it is on the nail. As you apply this, it looks like caramel flowing over your nail. It is rich and sweet and just the perfect color tone for Fall. The color shifts from the multi chrome are stunning. I kind of want to bathe in this polish. I won’t, because, of course, it’s not possible. Also, I’m sure it wouldn’t be good for my health. But, anyhow … Lovely burnt orange polish, I think I love you.

Guys, if you can still get your grabby hands on these, DO IT!! Seriously, stop right now, go to the Quixotic polish website, and order these polishes.

I can’t say enough good things about this trio. It is beautifully rich and fabulous. These colors are so perfect for Fall. The red and burnt orange shades are exactly what I think of when I think of the changing of the seasons. Ditto with the depth and saturation. The chartreuse is a zinger, for sure. It’s not what I would normally think of as a “fall” polish. But I love it! And I think it really is a fantastic pop of color for the coming (hopefully soon!) cooler weather. I’m excited to wear all of these over and over again in the coming days and weeks.
