It’s been another week of Jolly Polish Days, which means another week of mani craziness. I love it!!
I have a mixture of older and newer swatch photos in here, as I’m running short on photo storage space for the blog. I need to figure out a storage solution, but I’m reusing photos that are already uploaded until then. And I’m going to toss in macro shots for some of the manicures.
DAY 9: I started out my week wearing the delightfully gorgeous and oh-so-perfectly blue A. England, Katherine Parr.
Here’s a macro shot of her deliciousness. I posted about this polish at length not that long ago, so I won’t babble much more here. I love this polish! There. I said it. Again. And it’s still true.
DAY 10: Next up, I wore Bitzy, Peppermint. This is a fun and extremely cute crelly polish. It was also super affordable at Sally’s. These come in teeny bottles, so you don’t get much product at all. But I paid less than $1 for this. Definitely worth it.
For fun, I thought I would toss in a macro shot of Peppermint. Just look at that glitter mix! The glitters are all metallic hexes, but they are different sizes. It makes for a great look on the nail with a lot of depth. So far, I’ve been impressed with the formulas on these Bitzy polishes, too. This one was no exception. It was opaque in 2 easy coats. And it made me think of candy cane nails. Yay!!
DAY 11: For my next manicure, I wore China Glaze, Ugly Sweater Party!
Tossing in a macro for this one, too. I have so much love for this polish. It is gaudy and full of everything and so incredibly over-the-top and entirely too much. And I LOVE IT!!! I have to wear this polish at least once every Christmas holiday season. It makes me feel like Christmas is just around the corner.
DAY 12: For my next manicure, I decided to do a little nail art. I wore Colores de Carol, Caribbean Wonderlands as the base color. And I used OPI, Miami Beet for the stamping.
Overall, I’m okay with how this turned out, but I didn’t love it. My original idea was to use something closer to Caribbean Wonderlands in color tone, but it didn’t work out. Ah well. Nail art is like that sometimes.
DAY 13: For this manicure, I used one of my favorites from OPI’s fall collection: Less Is Norse. I stamped some scribbly Christmas trees over it with China Glaze, I Sea Ponies.
I love everything about how this turned out. It was so much better than I expected it to be, particularly because I had a lot of trouble getting this design to pick up properly. I was also doing this manicure in a hurry, so I ran out of the house before my topcoat was fully hardened. It’s a little nail miracle that I didn’t smudge any nails! I think this manicure is probably my favorite for the week. If I hadn’t been doing Jolly Polish Days, I would have worn this one for a few days longer.
DAY 14: For this day, I chose Moonshine Mani, Photosphere.
Aaaaand, a macro shot of this lovely polish! Just look at all the honey orange-gold sunniness of this one! I love it. I wanted this polish for a long time, and I’m glad I was able to get it. This one doesn’t really hit the holiday or winter type vibes, but it’s a nice pop of sunny, pretty color when the weather is more gray and drab. I loved wearing it!
DAY 15: And finally, here is what I’m wearing today! This is OPI, Turn on the Northern Lights. It’s another favorite from the fall collection, and it is FABULOUS!! I was waiting for “just the right time” to wear it. I love the tone of blue in here, the look of it on the nail, and the delicate shimmer. It’s such a beautiful polish!
That wraps up my second week of Jolly Polish Days madness! It’s been a challenge to manicure every day, even when I’m just doing a straight mani with no nail art involved. But I love it. Instead of feeling like a drag, I always find myself thinking that I should do this all year long. Can you imagine 365 days of manicures? Whaaaaat??? It would be madness, I tell you. Madness!
